Good performance,very poor instructions.This is a great product, however the instructions leave a lot to be desired. They are all graphics with no written information. I had to call Braun to help me figure out how to use this shaver.

Good shave but slow, awkward head removalSmooth shave but you must shave over the same area multiple times as it only cuts a bit at a time. Not have a built-in trimmer is unfortunate as the new trimmer head does not come off easily (it feels like the friction fit will wear out or break before long) and you have to keep the trimmer block handy to click on in its place.

OK, But..I have only used my razor a very few times and I would say it does an ok job. Prior to purchasing this razor, I read many reviews praising and glorifying this product as most products get unfairly, but I still maintain my position this product does an ok job. I will say however, the cleaning/charging station seems to work well.

Poor documentationMe: 74 year old male with a beard that I keep neatly trimmed to about 1/4 inch.
I have always used a disposable, twin blade, razor to shave around the beard. Wrinkles that come with getting older can lead to nicks and cuts. My hope was that this electric shaver would eliminate the bleeding.
Good news:
No nicks or cuts!
Bad news:
It takes much longer to get the job done, and the overall cost of shaving will increase over time, that is, IF I replace the blade cartridge, rechargeable battery and cleaning solution as required. (Not likely that I will comply with all that.)
Complaints:
Poor documentation! The instructions rely on my ability to interpret their grade-school, icon-based artwork, and my ability to read the tiny print. So, I went to their website to download the document to increase the size. That is still no replacement for well written documentation.

it didn’t work for meI read a recommendation on the NYT and clicked the link to buy at Wal-Mart. i tried it the next day, but it didn’t do a good job. I’ve been using rotary razors for more than a decade, but the accessories are very expensive. I wanted to try this razor that costs less and the accessories are also cheaper.

Not a great purchase for me.Ergonomically the razor was comfortable – the shave, however, was not great. I have very old and sensitive skin, and it was irritated from the razor. I will be returning the product. I have never bought a product with such poor directions for its use – no descriptions, just pictures. I just want a simple plug in razor.
