Integral part of the Power Head system. Worth it!This is our third hedge trimmers for the Power Head system. Two are still active. One seized up after two years of commercial use. Got good life out of it with great results, but wish there was a way to repair the 3rd one. Be great to have as a backup for peace of mind.

Amazingly Powerful and FlexibleI never realized just how much easier this attachment could make my life until the first time I used it to trim the bushes around my parents house to keep them from having to climb a ladder or hang out a window to reach everywhere with a hedge trimmer. If you have tall hedges, this is a must-have attachment that makes quick work of trimming even the tallest or widest of bushes with ease.
The attachment feels very solid, and the wide teeth mean that even the thickest of branches are easily cut cleanly, but definitely use caution not to allow anyone’s fingers to get too close! Along with the solid build quality comes a fair amount of weight, but the power head and hedge trimmer attachment felt surprisingly balanced when loaded with a 2.5Ah battery, although a 5.0Ah battery would probably provide a better counterweight. I felt quite comfortable maneuvering along a narrow ledge at the top of a retaining wall, even when reaching with my arms fully extended to trim the hardest to reach bushes.
I could hardly believe how many angles are possible to achieve, with the shaft being able to rotate 90 degrees and the trimmer blade angle able to be set to any angle within a 180 degree arc, from 90 degrees up to 90 degrees down (or left to right when the shaft is rotated). This is a more versatile and maneuverable attachment than I ever could have imagined!

Unique Tool for a Unique JobI have used this trimmer twice since I have purchased it. It does a remarkable job, however, it is heavy and requires a shoulder strap if it is used for more than 15 minutes. It is perfect for my application.

Great extension, cuts wellThe hedge trimmer attachment has great reach. This reaches shrubs that I can’t get using a regular hedge trimmer. The adjustable angle is handy as well. Cuts through Cleyera just fine.

High Quality and FunctionalExactly what I needed, but wish the entire unit (power head + attachment) wasn’t so heavy. Not an issue for periodic usage but couldn’t pull off another 1.5 hours without some sore arms. I can’t imagine using it with an extension.

I would recommend this attachment to most folksThis attachment works well and cuts 1″ branches with no problem. It’s very sturdy and well made. When attached to the power handle with battery it is a bit heavy which takes some effort trimming tops of taller bushes. It does the job I need it to do and keeps me off the ladder, and at my advanced age, that is a big plus. Yes, I would recommend this attachment to most people.

It’s ok Not the bestThe front cutting tip gets caught in hedge and stalls. Needs a tip protector for smooth operation. Tip protector needs to be included to the hedge trimmer attachment. Not purchased as an option.
