Beautiful & modern storage productI bought this to store my dog stuff. It is the perfect size for me, but it might be too small for toy storage. I think it would work best for storing small things, like office appliances. It would also do well as a place for guest or kids to store their shoes when entering your house.

Wonderful…don’t be fooled by poor reviewsI now own three of these wonderful toy chests. I want to buy at least 1 more. They are fantastic. All of mine are natural wood. They are gorgeous. Many of the poor reviews are from people who are not apparently skilled at putting things together. This is one of the easiest pieces of furniture I have ever put together. The directions are great. The screws are divided up nicely and even numbered. Everything lines up perfectly. Inside the side panels the have metal for the bolts to screw into (not all toy boxes have this). It makes them very sturdy. As for the complaints for the flimsy bottom, they are ridiculous. In one of my boxes, I have a 50 pound bag of rabbit food and also a 40 pound bag of horse bedding pellets. As to the so called lid issue, you need to lift the lid slightly when lining up the holes and everything lines up perfectly (see my picture that shows how far the lid is supposed to open). I think some reviewers are over tightening the bolts and this can cause damage to the wood. Screws need to be hand tightened. Also, do not fully tighten anything until the complete box is built and then fully tighten everything. The toy boxes are sturdy enough for us to sit on as well (I would not recommend standing on them though).I want to add that the entire toybox can be put together with one Phillips screwdriver.

Easy to AssembleGood size toy chest. Has safety hinges to help prevent pinched fingers from the lid dropping. Kids can sit on top without worry. The bottom I wish was made of the same thickness wood as the rest of the chest, however. It’s a thinner board that you slide into notches. Overall though, it may be a bit pricey for a few pieces of cheap wood but it’s still a nice chest.

Very satisfied and quality item!Very easy to assemble! The parts came packaged well and the parts and hardware were well labeled and organized. It was packaged very well, no cracks, scratches or dents. Itís perfect for our small pace. Easy for my toddler to reach in and out of. Iím very happy! Melissa and Doug never disappoints!

Nice Toy ChestWe bought this chest for our two year old. It is very sturdy, well made, and the top has a safety latch to prevent little fingers from getting crushed when opened. It’s also a nice size to store toys. My husband added our son’s name on it to personalize it. Overall, great purchase and price.

Happy with purchaseThe toy box is really cute. A little smaller than what I had pictured in my mind but it is the dimensions written in the description. I like how the toy box part separates from the bench. That way you can put stuff on top the box as well. We are currently using it to store barbie dolls and accessories and have the barbie house sitting on top. It works well. The instructions were easy to follow. I didnt have any problems.

Fabulous Toy BoxWe LOVE this toy box. My 15 year old nephew put it together as a favor for me without any issues. The lid hinges are extraordinary – no worries about banging the lid, it falling, etc. The size is perfect.The kids have of course tried to lock each other in, and there are several breathable hole areas to help ensure safety for kiddos inside. They have been pretty rough with it and there are no scratches or dings so far!

Fantastically easy set up!Super easy to put together. No need for power tools. Gets a little tricky with the hinges but other than that it’s an easy construction. They make it so easy to keep the screws together until you need them for the step the pictures are self explanatory. I will DEFINITELY get another one!

On the Small SideI was expecting something a little bigger but should’ve seen the dimensions it is a little on d delicate side. Try not to bang on it too hard while putting it together. It is cute! Good for little toys. I put the other box in front of it so you get an idea of the size.
