Phenomenal BuildMy father owned a 1977 911s from when it was brand new to 2016. So when I saw this lego coming out, I decided to get back into lego building after a decade of no legos. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the car slowing grow into the Turbo as I built it, even with a few mistakes here and there for being a bit rusty. My favorite feature is the steering wheel being able to turns the front axles, even though the steering wheel is a bit loose. I could’ve easily combined all 10 bags to build the Porsche he had (hard too roof and the targa wheels) but I also love the look of the turbo’s wide body stance and the rear end. If you are a car guy like me, highly recommend.

An absolute pleasureI only have positive things to say about this set. The car is beautiful. Fun and easy build. Love the little details such as printed logos and gauges. The manual shifter, parking brake and forward folding front seats are a nice touch. The engine also has its details that are a pleasure to look at. I’m a gearhead so of course I built the Turbo model. I’ll probably go back and purchase another one just to be able to have the Targa model to display too. My only complaint, which is not at all a complaint on this finished product, is that I wish they offered this model in different colors. This car would look mean in all black or in the green that was offered on the 911 Turbo in the Speed Champions Series. Either way, 5/5.

Over all a good productThe Lego Porsche was a great build. There are so many little details, although the changing from the turbo into the Targa was a bit trouble some as I do like to see the difference. Some people were complaining about missing pieces i did not have that problem.

Best Christmas Present Ever![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Lego set as a Christmas gift from my wife and I absolutely loved it. It took me a day or two to build it and I found it easy to build. Instructions were pretty clear and I didn’t have any problem with parts, etc. I recommend it to anyone interested in Porsche …. it was a big, happy surprise for me.

A Great Start to my Creator Expert Collection!!I don’t know what it is about 70s and early 80s Porsche 911s, but I think they are just so cool. So When this set came out, I knew I had to have it. The engineering and design put into this set is really incredible. This set was fairly easy to build, and it took me about 5 hours to build which when I first started, I thought it would be at least a 10 hour build. It is easier to build this car than it may seem, so don’t worry about it being too hard even though its 18+. Once I was done building, I made a little mod to the car. First, I took the brake disks off of the Porsche, then I borrowed the wheels off of my Technic Dodge Charger, and put them on the Porsche, and it looks great, even though it doesn’t roll with these wheels cuz they are big for the Porsche. If you don’t have the Dodge Charger, its ok. You can take the wheels that come with the set, and put them in backwards. It also looks good this way. But anyway, if you like Porsches, this would be a great set for you.

Two cars in oneI love everything about this kit from how they captured the smooth curves using blocky Lego pieces to the shelf presence and finally the ability to easily swap out components to switch between the Targa and the Turbo models so the building experience ends whenever you want it to. The instruction manual tells you how to build the 911 up to a certain point which is considered the “base model” at which point the instructions diverge depending if you prefer the Targa or Turbo version. What I would have liked is a page or two illustrating the key points of the base model from the sides and underside so that we know how much of the car to deconstruct while swapping between Targa and Turbo configurations to make the process smoother rather than relying on experience with Lego building alone. Either way, it’s very simple to swap between the configurations and as the designer mentioned, if you have a few spare parts lying around, you can even make a Turbo-Targa hybrid though that is a journey for us fans to discover on our own.

Porsche 911 turbo / TargaThis has been one of the most entertaining Lego sets I’ve build. I was really impressed with the detail of the interior and as built it it made me feel as if I was actually in the Porsche. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoy cars and collects car models it’s an enjoy car to look at. My favorite part about this Lego set is the iconic head lights and the creativity of the engine design. Overall I will definitely be looking for other set similar to this one. I cannot wait for my next build!!

Great building experienceI love it! Only gave it four stars because with just a few extra parts (probably less than ten) it would be possible to build that rarest version of the 930, the Targa Turbo.

A beautiful FRAGILE FEATHERMy 7 yo built this but found it to be very fragile. Easily breaks off. For creators- Lego may want to consider superglue (kidding ok!!!). Or just stick to Technic especially for cars.
