Toddler rail and daybed rail IN THE BOX!So we were in a bit of a pickle. Our toddler is 2, we also have an 11 month old. We have one crib that is not convertible (Well, it technically is, but the rails are no longer made and cannot be purchased) and a portable crib. The baby is ready to move to a big crib, our toddler isn’t quite ready for a toddler bed.
What to do! Enter this Little Seeds Raven 3-in-1. Unlike our other crib, the folks at Little Seeds were kind enough to include both the toddler rail and the daybed rail IN THE BOX! Wow, what a concept! A convertible crib that’s actually convertible! No asterisks, no tiny type disclaimers requiring additional purchases. It’s all in the box.
So quick review of the assembly, it’s easy. Bolts and T-shaped nuts, everything fastened using the included 2 hex keys. And a big “thank you” to Little Seeds for including an “extra hardware” blister pack with multiple spares for all the various parts. One of our T nuts wasn’t forged quite right and wouldn’t thread without stripping the bolt, so I just tossed it and grabbed a spare.
They recommend 2 people, but I had no trouble assembling alone. You attach the back to one of the sides right away with 2 bolts, from then on everything is pretty much self supporting while you fasten it together.
Like most cribs, you have a few different heights to pick from. I always go with the lowest, as it’s going to end up there anyway as the child ages and bending over isn’t really a big deal to me. The final stage of assembly has you choosing the front bar of your desire, infant, toddler or daybed. We chose to stick with the infant for now, let our toddler stay in his crib, let our infant try out the new bed, which as you can see in the picture, he seems fine with it.
There is one thing worth mentioning, and I’ve included a picture to illustrate. Being a metal crib, you might have a few creaks when you move the thing around or rock it, as a toddler might. In this case, the side panels are constructed such that the vertical rails are inserted into holes in the top and bottom beams, then welded, then power coated. This is where our creaks came from. But the solution was simple, grab each pair of vertical rails near where they are attached to the top beam, then give a light squeeze. Don’t go crazy here, no need to bend the beams, just do like you’re squeezing a mustard container. Just enough to flex that connection. After doing this on the tops and bottoms, our crib is silent no matter how much you shake it about.
All in all it’s a great crib. It looks great, and it’s incredibly sturdy. Once our toddler gets a little older, we’ll be swapping out the front bar for the toddler bar and the kids will switch beds. We really couldn’t be happier with it. Fully recommended.

Such a beautiful crib!I have only used wooden cribs in the past so I wasn’t sure how I would feel about a metal one, but I absolutely love it. The design of this crib is beautiful and I love that it can grow throughout the baby’s life, from crib to toddler bed to a bed frame. I also appreciably that the crib itself seems to be a little shorter than others I have seen so it is easier for me to reach into it. A regular crib mattress fit perfectly into this and it was extremely easy to put together. I did it by myself in about a half an hour. Very pleased with this and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Grey goodnessThis crib is made well instructions are well laid out too. The simple design brings out modern or farmhouse vibes. Very gender neutral but wish it was a bit darker has a purple/blue undertone to it. The one part I dislike is the feet they could use a bit of redesign I think not as sturdy as I would like. I highly recommend this it is constructed well and seamlessly blends with many decor choices.

Gorgeous and heirloom-quality piece!I absolutely love this unique and classic-looking crib! I could see it becoming an heirloom piece, as it just has this timeless look to it. Since it’s made of metal, we shouldn’t have to worry about toddler bite-marks like we have with wooden cribs.
My husband put it together, and the instructions and assembly were pretty straight-forward. You can choose which option works for crib height— we chose the highest as our baby is not yet sitting up. The “lip” of the crib is lower than other standard cribs, making it less likely that a sleeping baby will wake up when laying her in. This crib is also a little less wide in both directions than our old crib, but only by a small amount.
This crib has worked well with our standard mattress for my 7-month-old and also for my 3-year-old who wanted to try it out for naptime once. We were able to place a mobile on the crib as well.

A bed that will last and grow with your childWhen I received this item, I was surprised at the weight of the box. It was well packaged with no damage. The metal is a nice thickness and seems very durable. The paint is evenly coated. The spring piece that came with it also seems high quality. And… There are no ugly weld spots! It fits a standard mattress (purchased separately) so it’s no super bulky and fits nicely in the room without taking up tons of space. I set it up in toddler mode and my 2 year old fits in it fine (and he’s very tall for his age.)
The directions were not the easiest to follow but overall the bed wasn’t that difficult to put together. I think it took me about 20 minutes or so to get it fully assembled. This bed will give you your money’s worth. It’s heavy duty enough to last many years and isn’t so babyish that a toddler won’t accept it as a big-boy bed. To go from baby crib to toddler bed involves simply swapping out a single side panel. I just stored The one not being used underneath the bed. The style and design is a good fit for all types of decor choices because you can dress it up to your liking.

AMAZING!I can’t describe how much I love this crib, pictures don’t do it justice. My son just advanced from the toddler bed so we are using it as a day bed and it looks just as good. One of the best things about it is that it comes with all the pieces to use as a crib/toddler bed/day bed so whatever stage your little one is in this will work and you don’t have to worry about buying extra pieces to switch them over. Although I will say I wasn’t a big fan of the toddler rail just because the opening is in the middle and it has railing on the head and feet. I feel like my son specifically would have still rolled out the middle opening but every kid is different and it probably works fine for most toddlers. It’s such a pretty color metal that could be used for a boy or girl. Heavy duty so you know it’s going to last until they out grow it. Fairly simple and straight forward to put together and comes with everything you need even the Alan-wrench (if that’s what it’s called). My only regret is that I didn’t get this sooner, would definitely recommend this crib to anyone.

Pretty crib! This Little Seeds Raven 3-in-1 Metal Crib in Gray is so cute! Very elegant looking. Is gender neutral. I do think that the horizontal designs on the front and back could possibly pose as a risk for climbers. My 12 month-old is very petite (27 inches tall and 17 pounds) and her head is well above the side rail, about at the top of her shoulders at the lowest mattress setting. Sturdy construction. Took about 30 mins for my husband to put it together. He says it was pretty simple to assemble. We’re loving it. It’s also easy to add the toddler bed rail.

I bought these for my twin grandchildren. The picture is deceptive, they are low to the ground, not like a normal crib. The sides and ends are stationary , only the mattress can be moved to a lower setting. The low profile works well for me, since I have them both in a bedroom with a double bed as well, however, if I was purchasing for use all the time I would be disappointed. I’m not sure even at the lowest setting it will be low enough for them to stay in once they are pulling up. Everyday use leaning over the rail and pulling the baby out would be a back breaker. It was very simple to assemble, they gave you plenty of extra screws and the holes lined up perfectly on both. It seems sturdy .

Beautiful crib but could be designed betterThe Raven 3-1 metal crib is gorgeous in person. Overall the crib was really easy to put together and the directions were simple. While I was pretty impressed with the amount of packing materials inside the box and around the crib, our front railing had little scratches all over it, which really makes me sad. The different metal scrolls are very pretty, and I like that the crib is lightweight yet very sturdy. What I don’t like is the conversion to a toddler bed rails. While I can understand having two rails on each side and the middle open for easy access for little to get in and out of bed, it’s not practical. My toddler does not sleep in one position all night and when she took her nap yesterday, her legs were out the middle and she would have fallen on the floor if I had not been watching her on a video monitor. The better option is to have one longer railing that is up close to wear baby’s body is, and then have the other end (where their feet are) open. It may not be as convenient to get in and out of bed fast, but it is safer to help little ones who wiggle a lot stay in their bed.
