Great customer serviceI have used the grill/smoker yet, planning to in the next week. But let me tell you about the customer service from this company. Bought this grill through Wal-Mart when I received it and put it together, discovered the side self was missing. Called the Royal Gourmet customer servive, explained the problem. young lady apologized for the inconvenience, took my information, five days later I received the item. No fuss. no problem. Real customer service.

Amazing buyI would give this more than five stars if possible. I love this grill! It’s super easy to put together. The two tables and tool rack are so convenient. I also love that the charcoal tray is adjustable so you can change how close your food is to the coals. There’s the charcoal tray and then a tray to catch the burned pieces so that they don’t lay on the bottom of the grill.
I haven’t used the smoker yet, but I’m excited to.

Great GrillIt was easy to put together as long as you read the directions and remember to not tighten all the screws until you finish with the section. I made sure to season my grill with Pam spray so the paint wouldn’t bubble and peel. I made sure to let the coals white over before closing the lid… to prevent it from over heating. It worked great… everything I wanted in a charcoal grill! I had the hardest time making the decision to purchase due to mixed reviews. But I kept telling myself some ppl just don’t follow directions well and I believed in my abilities to figure out a solution to each negative review. Please purchase the grill if you are interested because you’d be glad that you did. And YouTube the reservations you may have it’s plenty of videos to help you through.

Love itSurprised my husband with this grill. He loved it. I put it together myself. Had some tough moments that needed 2 sets of hands but other than that things flowed smooth. He’s been using it weekly since his gift in March. Great purchase and great price.

First grillThis grill is awesome! Put together in about an hour and a half it was simple following directions. I went outside and made burgers right away! Everything about the grill was great! Can’t wait to use it again!

Cheap descent grillDefinitely a decent grill for the money. People in the reviews complaining about the lid melting off @ 600 degrees……why was your grill EVER near 600 degrees? If you’re handy with tools, understand how to build things with basic instructions and have any sort of clue about how to actually grill with charcoal….get it and appreciate the cheap grill for what it is. Also, If you can’t straighten a dent out or just dont want to…dont take the chance and trust the mail….buy it in the store and pick it up yourself. Mine was delivered flawless though.

Good but brokenWe love this grill, however when we received it the temperature gauge prong was broken. Tried to call customer service and haven’t gotten and single person to answer the phone to try and rectify this situation

Parts don’t fitI like the size, and the overall visual is okay. My problem is that some of the pieces are not aligned as they should be. For the main grill, the lid is not inline with with the lower part. As you can see from my pics, the lid extends out on the left. On the right, there is a gap between the lid and the bottom piece so that it will not close flush. The smoker door appears too big, so it doesn’t close. The problem is that the way the door screws on has it too far over for it to close properly. Also the door latch is missing a bolt to screw it on properly. At this point, I don’t want to purchase a new grill. I think I can make the grill lid work, but the smoker box is the main reason I purchased the grill in the first place. I will have to re attach the smoker door, so that it works, or end up not being able to use the box. I am very disappointed. I always read the negative reviews just so I know what may be possible on the bad side. Unfortunately parts not being cut/fitted right was one of the negative comments. In the end I contacted customer service to be told they could file a clam for me to return this one, and they would send a new one. I would have to take this one apart (I paid to have it put together), send it to them, wait for the replacement, and then have that one put together. Not acceptable. All I wanted was a replacement for the smoker door. (A friend pointed out the grill lid offset). I have purchase grills from Walmart before, and have not been disappointed until now. In the end they ended up refunding me, without me having to return the grill. (That’s why they got a 3 and not a 2 or a 1).

Junk!The entire lid fell off while grilling and the seller is giving me the hardest time with part replacement! dont waste your time buy a better product! Also less then a year old and its rusting!
