Highly recommendMy granddaughter’s love this. I got 250 pounds of play sand at Home Depot and a container of cinnamon to mix into sand to keep the bugs out. Now it’s perfect. And love that it has a lid to keep animals and rain out

Worth every penny spent! My 2 year old spends hours outside playing in this sandbox. It’s the perfect size for 2 or even 3 kids. Depending on their age.

Love itIt is great! My son loves it. I bought 50 lbs of play sand. It doesn’t cover a lot of space, but enough to play.

Good quality.Bought this a year ago for my 1 year old. He’s 2 1/2 and still plays in it. It’s held up well in the desert heat. No cracks or fading. We used four 50 lb sand bags from the hardware store.

Step2 Crabbie SandboxI bought this for my grandson who is 18 months old. He loves it! I recommend getting the sand at Home Depot. Washed, screened sand, 50 pound bag is $3.65. I purchased 3 bags as recommended by other reviewer. However, I think 4 bags would be good. Either way, it is cheap money for hours of fun for the little ones. Enjoy!

kids luv itBought this for my 2 daughters (1yr & 2yrs old) the reviews were the best ones I had found . we live in the country and I wanted something to keep animals out of. We bought 3 bags of 50lb play sand for it and it filled it up enough for our 2 . this sandbox has given them hours of play time outside and the 2 small areas for them to sit on the side are a nice extra as our 1yr old doesn’t like sitting in the sand and cries. The rain didn’t really get in the box either we had a small amount get inside but it was a really bad rain storm I was very surprised as light as the top is that the wind did not blow it off.

No more cat peeWe got rid of our old sandbox because the rain and pets completely ruined it. We were afraid it was not going to be big enough for our two year old amd five year old but it actually is very big amd very nice. They love it amd play in it all the time. Make sure you get four bags of clean play sand because it can hold it easily. Hope your children havr as much fun as mine!

Good buyOn year 3 with the sandbox, slightly sun faded (as in less red) and the logo piece popped off after about 6 mos. Otherwise still cute, useful, and I am glad we purchased.

Great sand box, but DO NOT buy the sand ‘package’The sand box is all that is promised, BUT my photo below left shows how much sand you get for the extra $36.00 – one tiny 25 lb box. On the shipping box for the sand box, it clearly says the sand box holds UP TO 300 pounds (we decided to use 250), so I don’t understand why Walmart is a) promoting this package as a good deal and b) selling 1/10 of the sand needed in their ‘package.’ I bought it hoping to save my son a trip. Instead, he went to Lowe’s and bought all purpose sand (Home Depot had that as well, along with Play Sand) for $3.50 per 50 POUND bag, pictured on the right. $36.00 is an absurd amount to spend for 1/10 of the sand needed, especially since for $25 from Lowe’s filled the entire sand box! That said, the kids are loving the sand box (it’s a nice size for toddlers) and my son is delighted about being able to cover it.
This promotion package is a miss for Walmart, one I hope they will correct.
